About the Event
On October 27 and 28, 2023, the SGVFD Fire Hogs M/C and Colorado River Cities Fire Hogs M/C will be sponsoring the 4th Annual Don Shawver Memorial Motorcycle Ride. All participants may purchase their poker hands through this event. *There is no limit to the number of poker hands a participant may purchase.* The ride will be used to bring awareness to firefighter cancer, and all of the proceeds will go to The Firefighters Cancer Support Network and The Lake Havasu Firefighter Charities.
Division Chief Don Shawver was a retired member of the Arcadia Fire Department who passed away due to job-related cancer. He was an avid motorcyclist, and Don’s passing brought the San Gabriel Valley Fire Hogs together with his family to develop the Don Shawver Memorial Motorcycle Ride.
Come join us as we ride from Breakwater Grill - Southside (3465 Maricopa Ave., Lake Havasu City, Arizona), collect poker hands, and end the ride by returning to Breakwater Grill - Southside for fundraising, such as a raffle and 50/50 drawing, to benefit The Firefighters Cancer Support Network and The Lake Havasu Firefighter Charities.
All are welcome! If you can’t make the ride, meet us at Breakwater Grill - Southside for the Poker Run Awards Ceremony, the raffle, and the 50/50 drawing! Riders and Non-Riders are ALL WELCOME!
All riders and passengers must sign a rider release form in order to participate in the ride. Copies will be available at the Registration Booth.
